Payment: a deposit of one third of the rental fee is payable upon booking, with the balance payable 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rent shall be taken as a cancellation of the contract by the client. For bookings made less that 8 weeks before the rental date the total fee must be paid immediately. All payments shall be made to Deborah and Alan Mackay.

Cancellation: Any cancellation made by the client must be done in writing to Deborah and Alan Mackay, Garras, Tresahor Veor, Constantine, TR11 5PL. If they are able to re-let the property for that date then all monies shall be refunded less £50 administration. If a cancellation is made before payment of the balance and no re-let is possible then the deposit paid may be forfeited.

Changes of Date: We will be happy to accommodate changes of date provided the cottage is free and the request is received more than 8 weeks away from the start of the booking.

Period of Hire: Rental starts at 4.00 pm on the day of arrival (but do please check with Alan and Debs if you think you will arrive earlier – we will try to accommodate arrivals from 2.00 pm but we may still be mowing the lawn). Please can you leave the cottage by 10.00 am on the day of departure.

Use of Property: No more than 6 persons can stay in the Cottage and it must be used for personal and domestic purposes only. It must not be used for any commercial purposes without our written consent.

Complaints: If you have any complaint about the property please notify us immediately – we will do our level best to accommodate you.

Breakages or damage: Please can you notify of any breakages and/or damage. You are legally bound to reimburse us for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.

Care of the Property: You must take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture and fittings and leave them in the same clean and tidy condition as you found them.

Liability: The owners shall not be liable to the client or third parties for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience which may be suffered, incurred, arise out of or is in any way connected with the rental. If the property becomes unavailable or unusable for any reason prior to the date of the booking, then the owners will reimburse the client for any monies paid.

Right of Entry: The owners shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
